Five years as a European Commisioner for the Environment
23rd - 25th June 2004: 3rd mid-year assessment meeting, Glasgow
  The third mid year assessment meeting of URBSOIL took place in Glasgow, jointly hosted by the University of Strathclyde and the University of Paisley
14th Feb. 2004: URBSOIL online questionnaire methodology utilised for NSCA Scotland.

URBSOIL invited to provide online questionnaire to NSCA (Scotland) in response to similar (though traditional) survey conducted in
England & Wales. One contaminated land officer from 32 local authorities plus one Scottish Environmental Protection Agency invited to take part. With a 91% response rate, survey reveals that only 11% of soil characterisations in Scotland are conducted before the local area plan.
21st - 23rd Jan 2004: URBSOIL annual general meeting, Ljubljana
  URBSOIL located in Bled, Slovenia for a general meeting hosted by team Ljubljana.
11th - 14th June 2003: URBSOIL mid-year assessment meeting
  URBSOIL located in Uppsala for a mid-year assessment meeting.
26th April 2003: URBSOIL Statistics Workshop, University of Paisley
 

URBSOIL ran a statistics workshop in Glasgow to aid data handling for both the pilot study and the main sampling campaign.

Outputs of the workshop:
1. Definition of Common Data Formats for Pilot Study results
2. Definition of a structure for a data summary of results from all partners
3. Possible comparisons of data from six EU cities
4. Possible influences
5. Factors influencing variability
